News on latz.cc

It has been a long time, but I finally managed to move from my old, quite buggy provider "A World Wide Mart" (AWWM.com) to another host.
Incidentally, this also means that I was finally able to ditch the last ASP scripts that I was still using - now it is all the way PHP - and it works great. I have been able to move my scripts within a day's time, and I am no PHP-wizard.
The Search function is working again, and please have a look at the new sections PHProjekt Phish-Skin and Mozilla improvements.
Have fun!

Hacked, again...this time, it seems that some kind of automated script was used to delete all .exe and .html files. Hence, the old section of latz.cc was not available, as well as some other include files. However, I managed to restore the deleted files, and now everything should be back to normal. One side-note: it seems that somebody also messed around with the installation of Perl. One effect of that is that the Search function does not work at the moment and returns an error...sorry for the inconvenience.

Looks like someone (at last...) made it: the main page of latz.cc was unreadable for almost two days (I didn't notice it), and the person who did this even left a nice image of Baphomet for all of us.

Either my provider AWWM.com doesn't apply all the patches to the HTTP daemon (although I had a lot of unsuccessful script kiddie attacks lately...), or my passwords are just too simple :-)
At least this gives me enough motivation to start the work on a new section about system security and cryptography.

At last, I was able to finish my Palm corner. It has a strong focus on e-books, software development and hardware, since you can find already thousands of sites that talk about "must have" software.
As always, any suggestion or contribution is welcome.

Even more games (Arthur, Shogun, Journey) have been added to the Infocom Games Section, which means that only one title is missing, "Battle Tech".
Also, some of the games (The Lurking Horror, Sherlock) have now added sound capability. Please report any problems or successes.
